About the Journal

InterSciencePlace (ISSN: 1679-9844) is a multidisciplinary scientific journal focused on disseminating intellectual output with an interdisciplinary scope. 

  • Origin and Trajectory—Conception (2003): The proposal to create the journal emerged during the 5th Latin American Congress on Humanities, organized by the Latin American Humanities Network in Chile. The central objective was to establish an international channel for scientific publication with an interdisciplinary focus.
  • Launch and Recognition: Publication began in the 2000s (with print and institutional editions registered starting in 2004/2006). By 2006, it was officially integrated into the Qualis CAPES system.
  • Adoption of DOI (2012): In 2012, the journal began assigning Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) to all published articles, enhancing the tracking and indexing of digital content. 

Editorial and Institutional Profile.

  • Institution and Editorial Management: Edited under associated/institutional responsibility in Campos dos Goytacazes (RJ), with Prof. Dr. Carlos Henrique Medeiros de Souza serving as the editor-in-chief and an editorial board composed of researchers affiliated with the CAPES Interdisciplinary Area.
  • Evaluation and Access: It employs a double-blind peer review system. It operates under an Open Access model (Creative Commons CC BY 4.0 license) and uses the Open Journal Systems (OJS/PKP) platform.
  • Qualis Classification: During the CAPES evaluation quadrennium (2017–2020), the journal achieved an A3 classification in the Interdisciplinary Area.
